This is a gorgeous 2nd-generation Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman, designed by Ray & Charles Eames for Herman Miller in the 1950s. This iconic duo (model #670 / #671) are original in every way: from the Brazilian Rosewood (Rio) shells (marked #883) to the black leather upholstery, down to the aluminum bases and accents.
This pairing is of the 2nd-generation model of the lounger from 60s, this the later 60s. This original black leather is in good shape with some wearing signs. There is no exposed hide and the leather has no splitting, just aged crease wear. The rosewood has been cleaned and conditioned [oil], metal bases and accents have been conditioned as well [polished]. Feet, sliders and bases are firm with no wobbling. metal feet/sliders are in-tact and base pedestal bushings are sturdy/solid. Shock mounts should be replaced in the next year.
SHIPPING*** will be shipped in two (2) separate orders. One with the chair/headrest and the other with the ottoman and both bases. Both shipments will require an adult signature, for both our interests as well as being insured.
Stored in a non-smoking, pet-free, and temperature controlled environment.
